The importance of having an abs workout
An Abs workout strengthens your core and having a strong core is crucial.
Your core muscles play a big role in squats and deadlifts. When you squat or deadlift, your core helps your body stabalize the weight and keeps your back arched.
So for this reason, you want to make sure that your core is up to the task. Having bigger abs does not hurt either. bigger abs can be helpful if you want your six pack abs to pop out.
You can also expect your abs to become thicker by doing these abdominal exercises.

Ab workouts doesn't have to be complicated. I like to keep mine simple and short. Also know that your abdominals get some stimulus when you squat and deadlift. So, if you feel that your core is strong, you can decide to skip these abdominal exercises. If you workout at home and only have dumbbells, you can do leg raise instead of weighted crunches.
