The effectiveness of pace weights

Pace weights are ideal for microloading.

When you train with weights, it can be hard to go up by 5 pounds especially for upper body exercises. Barbells and dumbbells only allow you to progress in 5 pound increments.

This could cause you to plateau easily. Progress is stalled and you stop growing. This is where these weights are usefull. Since these small weights only weigh 1/2 pound, you can start making progress again.

Microloading with small weights can help you break through plateus. These magnetic weights attach to any metal surface. You can easily attach them to most barbells and dumbbells. I have had great success with these weights.

Since using these weights, I have never experienced plateus. I always manage to achieve progressive overload to ensure that I keep on growing.

The only downside to these is that they do not attach to rubber encased weights. The magnets also tend to chip with wear and tear. I also managed to break off the magnet from the metal weights a few times. This was easily fixed by using super glue. However, mine are still holding up pretty well even with tons of use.

I highly recommend these weights to anyone who wants to bust through weight lifting plateaus.
